World Premiere

Specials Guest: Chris Lowell (Director/Writer/Producer)

After the screening on Saturday, October 12; join us at the stylish Tiburon Tavern at 8:30 pm (1651 Tiburon Blvd., Tiburon) for exquisite cocktails and elegant comfort food paired with Northern California's freshest coastal influences.

In this Big Chill for the Millennial Generation, seven childhood friends and one unexpected guest come together at a scenic lake house to comfort each other, reconnect, reconcile and possibly rekindle romance during what may prove to be their final season at a beloved summer home. Over the course of a sultry evening of revelry, friends and lovers scrutinize one another through the truth-in- ducing lenses of alcohol and deep emotion, invariably refracted by collective gallows humor. Actor turned writer-director Chris Lowell (The Help, Up in the Air, television’s Private Practice) garners vital performances from a talented ensemble of rising young stars, including Ryan Eggold (TV’s 90210) in a breakout performance as the catalyst who gathers the childhood group together once more at their old summer haunt. By turns wryly comic and acutely moving, Beside Still Waters plumbs the implicit alliances, unrequited crushes and enduring bonds that circumscribe lifelong friendships and define those relationships we hold most dear.
