Emma Schwartz’s Brewed in Palestine (US 2019, 17 min) presents an intimate portrait of the Taybeh Brewery created by a resourceful Palestinian family living and working under Israeli occupation in the West Bank. Eva Rendle’s touching All That Remains (US 2019, 20 min) revisits Northern California’s wine country a year after deadly wildfires ravaged the landscape and the lives of its vulnerable population of farmworkers, many of them undocumented, who find themselves in a heightened state of insecurity and inequality.
