Actress-producer-director Olivia Wilde soared onto the Hollywood scene in the early 2000s. Since then, she’s worked with some of the top directors in Hollywood including Spike Jonze, Martin Scorsese, Reed Morano, and Ron Howard. She’s starred in films such as TRON: Legacy, Drinking Buddies, Her, Rush, and Meadowland. Most recently she received widespread acclaim for her directorial debut, Booksmart. Multi-hyphenate Wilde is also a board member of Artists for Peace and Justice and has executive produced several Oscar®-nominated documentary shorts. Next up: a role in Clint Eastwood’s next feature and directing and starring in her sophomore film, a psychological thriller for the Time’s Up era called Don't Worry, Darling.

This presentation with Olivia Wilde features an onstage conversation delving into the process of developing her recent successful feature film directorial debut Booksmart, a timely coming-of-age, whip-smart feminist comedy. A modern-day Renaissance woman of the film industry, MVFF is honored to spotlight the many facets of Olivia Wilde.
