Description

A shocking crime. A cast of stranger-than-fiction characters. A mysterious 299-year-old Stradivarius violin valued at $6 million. The delicious docu-thriller Plucked, which revisits the bizarre circumstances surrounding Milwaukee’s crime of the century, has it all. Rushing out the back of the Wisconsin Lutheran College auditorium on a subzero January night after a draining performance, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Frank Almond nearly made it to his car when he saw something out of the corner of his eye. The next thing he knew, he felt a piercing pain throughout his body. But something more terrifying than a taser shot flashed through his mind: "They got the violin! They got the violin!"
