Description

Bobby, David, and Eddy—triplets who find each other by chance in their late teens—generated heartwarming headlines in the 1980s. Their three identical smiles, mop-top heads, and wide shoulders charmed the public almost as much as the circumstances of their reunification. But questions of “nature" vs. "nurture” open up into much larger inquiries about free will, destiny, and more. Through interviews with the men, their families, and researchers, we learn an almost unbelievable story that goes much further than their exultant initial encounter, and much deeper than cultural obsession with multiples. Tracing back to the adoption agency that placed them with their families at birth, this entrancing documentary plays out as a great mystery.
