Description

Many of us have seen these dogs dressed in their “Puppy-in-Training” coats hard at work on the streets of Marin County. But most of us don’t really know about the renowned local organization that produces these canine heroes. In Pick of the Litter, we follow five dogs, (Patriot, Phil, Potomoc, Primrose, Poppet) from the moment they are born through the intense two-year program that will prepare them to become working guide dogs and unite with their blind partners. Along the way, we meet some of the generous puppy raisers who initially volunteer their time and homes to prepare the dogs for their next step. We also follow the dedicated professional trainers who will take them through their rigorous training process. The stakes are high and not every dog will make the cut. But those who graduate will provide a life-changing service for those in need. Pick of the Litter takes you on an emotional and inspiring journey that you won’t soon forget.
