Christina Rosendahl was born in 1971 in Nykøbing Falster, Denmark. She studied comparative literary history, film, and media studies at the University of Copenhagen and spent time at the European Film College and the New York Film Academy before graduating from the alternative film School Super16 in 2002. In 2002 she had her breakthrough with the highly acclaimed Stargazer, a documentary about the band Swan Lee featuring her younger sister, Pernille Rosendahl, as lead singer. Rosendahl's short fiction film Crybaby(2008) received a number of awards at international festivals, including Frankfurt Lucas International Children's Film Festival and Victoria Film Festival. Her feature film debut, Triple Dare, (2006) received international recognition with awards from Trondheim Film Festival and Zlin Film Festival for Children & Youth.
